Living Locally Fair 2012

The Living Locally Fair 2012 was a huge success.  This is a partnership between the Russell and District Horticultural Society and St. Thomas Aquinas CHS.  With a host of almost 90 vendors, the fair attracted a record 1425 adults during the show hours of 9:30 to 3 pm.  Fair goers were treated to an array of food, produce and services that are all found in our own back yard.  This is the fourth year for this mid-winter fair that is described as a "jewel", a "celebration of community", and "a feeling of coming home".

Many thanks to the incredible students from STA who set up and took down all the tables and venues throughout the school, put up posters, helped the vendors set up and take down, manned booths, delivered coffee and lunches, and were there to meet and greet each person as they walked through the door of the school.  We could not have had better ambassadors, and the Living Locally Fair would not be possible without the help of these students who put in more than 150 volunteer hours.  Well done!
