  • art The visual arts are a universal language. Through the arts, people have portrayed their world and expressed their dreams, ideas, and feelings. Every work of art reflects the time and place in which it was created. 

    The student will explore the historical and cultural context of art by means of investigating why people and civilizations choose to make art. We will learn how to properly examine artworks within their historical and cultural context while investigating the critiquing process allowing us to accurately discuss artworks, written or verbal.
